From Comfortable Discomfort to Thriving Health

This is a real question.

What is the pain point you are waiting for?

Will a call from your doctor, the untimely passing of a friend/family member or simply becoming so uncomfortable in your body, cause you to experience enough pain to make changes?

Harsh truth: Many of us are comfortable sitting in our discomfort.

And although we know we should be treating ourselves better, our comfortable level with our physical discomfort isn’t motivating enough.

I remember hearing a podcast a long time ago that woke me up to my level of comfort with being uncomfortable. The guest asked the host “What is the opposite of joy?”

The host answered, “pain”.

The guest, said, “no, the opposite of joy is comfort”

And this is because we can settle in there and never leave, even if it’s uncomfortable. It’s an underwhelming way to experience life that lacks the best of what life has to offer. Living in comfort can definitely be looked at as settling.

It is not until we experience pain, that some of us will get motivated enough to do better for ourselves.

So, what will that pain point be for you?

Maybe just the idea of thinking about it is enough to motivate you to action?

Maybe now you won't wait for a tipping point before you make the necessary changes?

What if we could move from being comfortable in our discomfort to thriving in good health, before anything goes wrong?

Even though, as women on a spiritual path, we know the importance of holistic well-being, it is not always easy to prioritize ourselves with a crazy busy life.

We've all been there, feeling frustrated by our lack of progress, yet unable to find the motivation to make lasting changes.

But what if we could recognize our comfort with discomfort as a sign that we're out of alignment with our true, joyful, happy, healthy, thriving Self?

Nothing about our Creator, who's image we are made in, settles for comfortable. Never forget we are aspects of the Divine.

As spiritual beings, we know that while we are more than just our bodies, we chose these bodies for a reason.

Instead of viewing our health journey as a series of restrictions and limitations, what if we saw it as an opportunity for physical, spiritual and personal growth and transformation?

By reframing our mindset and embracing our body as a natural part of our spiritual and personal evolution, we can begin to release the resistance that holds us back and step into our power as creators of our life.

So, what can we do to move from living in comfortable discomfort to thriving in good health?

Listen to yourself.

The healthy, happy, joyful you is communicating to you, from the other side, about what that life looks like.

YOU are sending YOU messages. You don’t even have to look.

Simply honor and do not dismiss the many synchronicities that happen in your heart, in your mind, the people you see everyday, posts on social media (including this one), etc.

YOU are communicating to YOU about what foods energize your life.

YOU are communicating to YOU about what kind of movement makes you feel amazing in your skin.

What signs have you seen recently?

What whispers have you heard lately?

It starts here, with small, intentional steps towards trusting yourself.

Whether it's committing to a daily yoga practice, trying new foods to nourish our bodies, or finding time to spend with Source, each action we take brings us closer to the best version of ourselves.

But perhaps most importantly, it's about listening to our intuition and trusting ourselves.

When we tune into our inner guidance, we can trust that we're always being led towards what's best for us.

The path to vibrant health is not always easy, and there will inevitably be challenges along the way.

But if we continue to show up for ourselves, with compassion and grace, we can trust that we're making valuable progress.

We don't have to wait for a pain point to motivate us into action.

We can intentionally step into our fullest expression of health, vitality, and well-being, and live a life that truly nourishes our body and soul.
