Desire = Discipline
What do you desire?
Do you allow yourself to desire?
When was the last time your heart burned with desire for something or someone?
When we have a desire we don’t care.
Whether it is a person, place or a thing, when we have a desire in our heart it lives there day and night.
It’s all we think about.
Nothing else can replace it.
When it comes to satisfying a desire, we usually feel all or nothing about it.
We will hold our desire close and pursue it without shame.
When you think about it, our desires are a beautiful commitment to ourselves.
We want what we want and that’s ok.
Pursuing a desire may not feel like discipline, but it is.
Having a desire is having discipline.
Have we lost discipline?
Or have we lost desire?
The two kind of go hand in hand.
Maybe it's not that we aren’t disciplined.
Maybe it’s that we forgot how to let ourselves fall into deep desire.
What do you deeply desire for your life?
Do you allow yourself to feel it?
What might change if you had a deep desire for your life?
What do you deeply desire for yourself?
Do you allow yourself to feel it?
What might change if you had a deep desire for yourSelf?
Has desire been replaced by fear, doubt, insecurity and other self-limiting beliefs?
Do we dare allow ourselves the vulnerability of desire?
Do we dare let our heart fill with fire and passion?
How can we achieve anything if we don’t deeply desire it first?
Do you allow yourself the desire of being healthy and fit?
Or does body positivity, cosmetic procedures, shapewear, medication, your personality and/or intellect dampen your desire?
Does this make you feel like you don’t need to be healthy and fit because you have alternatives?
How can the Universe/God give us the desires of our heart, if we won’t allow the desire to live in our heart?
So again, do we lack discipline?
Or do we simply lack desire?
