4 More Ways to Connect with Self & Source

Want to connect with your Self more?

4 more convenient ways to connect with our body.

Our breath, as we discussed in the previous month, is one way to connect with our body.

And one of the quickest ways to communicate what’s going on with us.

Simple breathing techniques used during and outside of meditation, create the time and space for us to talk to our body on a regular basis.

I don’t know about you, but I was never taught the importance of breath as a child.

And as we learned last month, our breath is a powerful connector of our Self and Source, that we all should learn early.

Below are 4 more of the most convenient ways to connect with our Self and Source:

1. Nutrition

  • Our modern society will be better off understanding that food should be, and has been since the beginning of time, our medicine.

  • This means learning about the dis-ease and disconnection caused by processed foods and being willing to change how we and our children consume them.

  • What we eat is one of the many ways we show love and connect with our natural environment.

  • Food connects us from birth to death and all of the important moments and milestones in between, putting it at the foundation of our most meaningful shared experiences.

  • All eating is emotional eating, from the moment we are born we are immediately comforted with a warm embrace and our mothers milk, because nourishment is a love language.  Give yourself grace.

  • Our body is made up of mostly water, so drinking water is not just about being thirsty, it's about connecting with our very essence.

  • Natural food and clean water is sacred Source that elevates our state of being by nourishing our mind and body

2. Movement

  • Movement is the ultimate (and I think most beautiful) connection we have with our bodies.

  • It is our body's natural way of communicating its needs, joys, and challenges.

  • It is far more than just exercise, it is how we stay connected to ourselves, our emotions, and the world around us.

  • When we move our bodies, we get to know ourselves, listening to our strengths and limitations, our energy levels, and our emotions.

  • Movement is a primal connection and natural expression of our vitality, offering us a way to connect with our environment and our inner Self.

  • It helps us release built-up tension, enhances our mood, and keeps our bodies in harmony.

  • From the moment we start to walk as infants, movement is intertwined with our life experiences and is a celebration of our bodies’ capabilities, a daily ritual of true self-care, and an essential part of our journey until the day we die.

  • It’s a beautiful dance of growth and evolution, uplifting our physical health and emotional resilience.

3. Rest

  • Rest is not just a pause in our busy lives; it is a profound practice of self-care and self-connection.

  • Rest is where the magic happens - It is a sacred time to honor our bodies' needs and to recharge, ensuring we approach each day with renewed vigor and clarity.

  • It's an essential component of life allowing our bodies and minds to heal and reset, ensuring we recover, rejuvenate, and maintain our well-being.

  • Rest is our body's way of communicating its need for restoration and balance.

  • It is during these quiet moments that our bodies repair themselves, imprint memories, heal mental health and replenish our energy reserves.

  • Rest is a fundamental aspect of daily self-care and connects us with our intrinsic need for a healthier, more harmonious existence.

  • Incorporating rest into our lives isn’t a sign of weakness but a celebration of our humanity

4. Meditation

  • Meditation is more than a practice; it's a gateway to deeper connection and self-awareness.

  • It is a revered method for accessing higher states of consciousness and inner peace, providing a space for reflection, clarity, and connection with our deeper Self.

  • Meditation offers us a proven method to engage with our inner world, by stepping back from the noise of daily life and tune into our true essence.

  • In meditation, we develop a profound conversation between our mind, body, and Spirit as we listen deeply to our thoughts, emotions, and sensations without judgment.

  • Meditation is a sanctuary where we nurture self-grace, vision, and spiritual growth, connecting us to our deeper Self and discovering a greater sense of peace and purpose.

We do these things already.

We eat.  We move.  We sleep.  We meditate/pray

So bringing intention to them elevates our consciousness, spirituality and physical wellbeing.

Does that make sense?
